This bronze tablet was erected by the Duke of Bedford in c1905 to commemorate the residence of Topham Beauclerk (1739-1780) and Lady Diana Beauclerk (1734-1808) in Great Russell Street in Bloomsbury, London. The couple lived here between 1779 and Topham's death in March 1780. The following year Lady Diana sold the property by auction and retired to Richmond in reduced circumstances.
