The Right Revd. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, visited St. Mary's Church on 13th September 2014.

Paul Gardner, Chair of the St. Mary's Church Conservation Project Board, showed the Archbishop and his wife, Caroline Welby, the St.John family polyptych.

After his visit the Archbishop tweeted " I am enchanted".
