Hidden Content, Images, Videos and Documents
The East window of St. Mary's Lydiard Tregoze was vandalised in 1997 and partially boarded up prior to conservation.
The fundraising campaign for conservation was lead by President of the Friends of Lydiard Tregoz, Gerard Leighton, and described in his article The East Window of Lydiard Tregoze (Report no 35).
Shown here are before and after conservation photographs of the central panel (Right) which depicts St.John the Evangelist with a sunburst representing God above his figure.
The conservation work was overseen by Dr Sebastian Strobl of Cathedral Studios at Canterbury alongside conservator Leonie Seliger.
