For a short period between the closure of the churchyard at St. Mary's Lydiard Tregoze and the opening of a new cemetery on Hook Street in 1891, local parishioners were buried at Radnor Street Cemetery in Swindon or other parishes where they had a connection.

Martha Hale's gravestone records she was the beloved wife of Charles Hale of Creeches Farm, Lydiard Tregoze and that she died on January 11th 1890 age 75 years. An inscription below these details reads The Comforter is come (St.John).
