The Edmonds family of Lydiard Tregoze are closely connected with Lydiard Park and St. Mary's Lydiard Tregoze. There history in the parish can be traced back to the 17th century.
Three family gravestones stand in the churchyard. They commemorate:-
1 Jacob Edmonds (senior) (d.1816) and Elizabeth Edmonds nee Tidd (d1821)
Jacob was baptised at St. Mary's Church on 20th February 1757. He was the son of Jonathan Edmonds who married at St. Mary's on 16th November 1755
2 Jacob Edmonds (junior) (d. 1874) and Charlotte Edmonds nee Beasant (d1852).Jacob Edmonds (junior) was baptised at St. Mary's on 20th May 1787. He lived at lower Hook and was Parish Clerk for 62 years.
3 Edwin Edmonds and Rhoda Edmonds nee Durston. Edwin was involved in repairs to St. Mary's Church and graffitied his name on glass in one of the church windows.
