The handbill promotes a YPSCE (Young People's Society of Christian Endeavour) convention at Park Farm, Lydiard Tregoze, on June 9th 1915.
The event comprised an afternoon rally with a picnic, sale of work, sweets and farmer's stalls; a public Tea for 7d; and an evening rally with a service led by the Vicar of Calne and music provided by the Wootton Bassett P. M Choir.
The event was held with the kind permission of the farmer, Mr F. W. Rumming (Frank Rumming). Frank regularly welcomed parties of Sunday School children to Park Farm, even making special wooden benches for the purpose, still extant in 2022.
The UPSCE was an interdenominational Christian youth society founded in America in 1881 and quickly rising in popularity beyond the US.
