Funerary hatchment bearing the arms of Frederick St.John, 2nd Visct Bolingbroke (1732-1787) and the Latin inscription NIL. ADMIRARI ('to be surprised by nothing', or in the imperative, 'let nothing astonish you').

The arms of Frederick's wife Lady Diana (Spencer) are not shown on account of his divorcing her.

The hatchment was conserved in the 1990s by Elizabeth Holford Studios, with assistance from The Friends of Lydiard Park.
