A fragment of a once large headstone belonging to the grave of John Jeremiah St.John has been inserted in the path by the West door of the St. Mary's Church. The partially remaining inscription records that John Jeremiah St. John was the one year old son of George Richard, 3rd Viscount Bolingbroke and his wife Isabella.

(Sacred) to the M(emory) / ----the H (Honorable.Hon. / JOHN JEREMIAH ST.J(OHN Son of) / GEORGE RICHARD V (ISCOUNT BOLINGBROKE) / and ISABELLA VISCO(UNTESS)-- / Born Sept the 28th 18-- ---/ Aged one Year.

The stone was not recorded by Brian Carne in his survey of the memorials in the churchyard in 1979.
