A rare and professionally taken photograph of Vernon Henry St.John, 6th Viscount Bolingbroke (d.1974) and his companion in later life, Miss Catherine McLean. The occasion appears to be a wedding though we do not know whose that might be. Lord Bolingbroke is looking unusually smart in morning dress.
The photograph was generously gifted to The Friends of Lydiard Park by a former friend of his, Miss McLean's niece Anne Barr, in 2023.
