Postcard studio portrait of Alfred Rudler (1897-1962) of Coped Hall, Lydiard Tregoze, in the uniform of a Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. Alfred, a farm labourer, enlisted in March 1916 and his name is inscribed in the St .Mary's Lydiard Tregoze World War I memorial book. Alfred's first posting was to Alexandria.
