Sidney Bowler recalls the 40 acre World War II military camp at Lydiard Park with stories of the Americans GI's and later, tales of escape by German prisoners of war. He goes on to describe the conversion of the camp into post war residential housing where he and his wife rented their first home, along with recollections of life on the Camp.
