The Manor House (Post Medieval - 1540 AD to 1900 AD) is a Grade II Listed building with crow-stepped gables. A winding stair beside the single stack chimney has original treads and leads to the attic only. Attic windows are a 19th century addition.

Henry St.John d.1596  made his home in Hockering, East Tuddenham, Norfolk during the 16th century. His son Oliver was born in the Manor House in 1564. The property passed through eight generations of St.Johns. As a younger son of Oliver St.John of Sharnbrook Henry was one of Margaret Beauchamp’s great great grandsons descending via the Bletsoe line.
