Hidden Content, Images, Videos and Documents
The St.John family manorial box pew in the south aisle of the church incorporates carved oak panels depicting fruits, flowers and mythical figures including a moustached and breasted merman.
The Jacobean pew was remade in the seventeenth century incorporating the original carved panels from the previous century.
In the nineteenth century the sides of the manorial pew were lowered, making the family more visible to the congregation.
