Newspaper cutting entitled 'Barbara's back home' recording Thamesdown Borough Council's purchase of a portrait of Barbara Villiers by Sir Peter Lely and its return to Lydiard Park.

The portrait had been sold by Vernon St.John, 6th Viscount Bolingbroke at Christies in 1943 following his departure from the family's ancestral home.
