The photograph records Anne donating a collection of letters, keepsakes, photographs and other items that belonged to Vernon St.John, 6th Viscount Bolingbroke until his death in 1974.

Anne's aunt Miss Catherine McLean became the viscount's companion and housekeeper in his later life and as a child Anne visited their home near Ringwood in the New Forest. She and the elderly viscount became firm friends and Anne recalls accompanying him on butterfly hunting expeditions.
