Group of local children with Carnival Queen Jean Embling.

Local resident Malcolm Titcombe recalls the excitement of carnival with horses and decorated carts being driven all around Hook, Greatfield and Greenhill and the children being allowed to ride on them.

In 1947 the carnival procession was led by the Wootton Bassett Army Cadet Band and profits from the event went to the Hook, Greatfields and Greenhill Village Hall Fund.
