Handwritten remedy for an ointment which was purported to relieve rheumatism, lumbago, sprains, bruises and chilblains.
The remedy was preserved among the papers of the 6th Viscount Bolingbroke, one of several medicinal recipes.
There are various medicinal items belonging to the 5th Viscount Bolingbroke which are preserved in the Lydiard House museum collection.
