The Hall or 'Billiard Room', Lydiard House c1938

This rare photograph shows the main Hall of the dilapidated house. Apart from the billiard table there are a variety of stuffed animals in cases, including what appears to be a stuffed pike on the console table. This is possibly the fish caught and recorded in a photograph of the catch at Lydiard Park earlier in the century. An oil lamp is suspended from the ceiling.
