This piece of hand-painted wallpaper was discovered beneath the dado rail in the Drawing Room of Lydiard House during decoration works in the 1982. The dado rail was introduced in c1824 when the room was repapered in the crimson flock wallpaper we see today.

The wallpaper fragment was conserved with financial assistance from The Friends of Lydiard Park.
