The census records that there were just six people resident at Lydiard Park on the night of 2nd April 1911. These being:-
The 47 year old widow, Mary Viscountess Bolingbroke and her 15 year old son, Vernon, who is described as a student.
Servants: Edward Hiscock (34yrs/ Estate Agent); Sarah Edmonds (54yrs/Cook); Florence May Lewis (19yrs/Housemaid); and Reginald Franklin Kent (16yrs/Footman).
Additional writing (in red) on the census suggests that only fourteen rooms of the mansion were occupied, further evidence of Lady Bolingbroke's reduced circumstances.
