William Dore and his wife Sarah are buried beneath an intricately carved chest tomb close to the west door of the church, one of 28 Listed Chest tombs in St. Mary's churchyard. William was Lord Bolingbroke's tenant paying rates on Wick Farm and additional land called Prinnels, Blacklands and Greendown between 1806 and his death in 1815.
The Historic England Listing describes the limestone grave as having a 'moulded table with reeded fascia, recessed decorated corner balusters. Inscriptions in round panels with lightly incised foliage around'.

South west in churchyard – 6 metres south west of west door of tower (Chest tomb); one of a group of three.
