Noah Ody was born in Lydiard Tregoze and baptised at St. Mary's in 1790. He married Sarah Clarke in 1811 and the couple went on to have a large family. HIs daughters married local farmers and several of his sons became tenants of Lord Items of Interest below.

Sacred/To the/Memory of/Noah Ody [Not in Burial Register] Who died Aug. 22, 1831/Aged 60 Years. Also of Ann/Daughter/of the Above/who died Oct. 27. 1820/Aged 3 Years./Also of/Jane daughter/who died Feb. 241829/Aged 11 months./Also of Mary daughter/who died June 12 1837/Aged 23 Years. Sacred/to the/Memory of/Sarah Wife of/Noah Ody/Who died May 30, 1872/Aged 86 years.

Memorials … And Other Grave Matters by Rev Brian Carne, Friends of Lydiard Tregoz Report No. 12 published May 19, 1979. Correction to Report: In the report Brian has misread the register and says that Noah died in 1831. Noah died 22 August 1851 and is definitely in the burial registers and is therefore buried in the churchyard.
