Lydiard Park - The Last 75 Years by Kevin Fisher, 2018

This booklet, written by Kevin Fisher in 2018, traces the story of Lydiard House and Park over the 75 years it had been owned by the Local Authority. It was produced at a time when Lydiard House and Park was under threat from outsourcing by Swindon Council to the private commercial sector.

The booklet charts the achievements of the town council over the 75 year and lists the written assurance provided by the council for the future management of the house and park.

This well researched booklet is illustrated with a large number of original documents, maps, plans and photographs, particularly in relation to the purchase of Lydiard Park by Swindon Corporation in 1943.
