Lydiard Parkrun (2), 2014 & 2019

Lydiard's popular community Parkrun, a 5 kilometre event for people of all ages and abilities, has been taking place on Saturday mornings since March 2010. Come rain or shine, with the exception of the Covid pandemic period, the event has taken place, clocking up an amazing 200,000 finishers.(data Oct. 2023)

Walking, running or jogging, local residents and visitors from other towns make a two lap circuit of the park, finishing the last stretch down the grand avenue with Lydiard House firmly in their sights.

Lydiard Parkrun is part of a national organisation and welcomes newcomers and guests from other Parkruns to its events. A wide selection of photographs can be seen on their website as well as regular news bulletins.
