In June 2006 Swindon Borough Council hosted the UK Corporate Games which was attended by thousands of athletes from businesses across the country. Lydiard Park was the main venue for the occasion and the front lawn of the house filled with corporate tents and a covered stage. Entertainment included bands and arts activities as shown in this photograph.
The games were officially launched by HRH Princess Ann who also opened the restored lake by turning on the fountain.
