In his second article about the infamous murder of Sir William Eastcourt by Henry St.John (1652-1742) and his third cousin Colonel Edmund Richmond–Web, Mr Smallwood revisits the story and transcribes the Letters Patent which granted Henry restitution of his properties.
The Letters Patent (dated 14th January 1684), which bear the portrait and seal of King Charles II, can be seen in the State Bedroom at Lydiard House.
