Mr Heath reports that during 1983 conservator Anna Hulbert discovered evidence of medieval wallpainting under oil paint in the chancel and that the church was considering the various works which were desirable - including the chancel walls and Golden Cavalier monument.

Contains an update on Pauline Plummer's assessment of the central painted panels of the St.John polyptych following the removal of crude overpainting and the attribution of William Larkin as portrait artist.
