Late 19th Century walnut truncheon which belonged to Mrs Miriam Titcombe of Hook, Lydiard Tregoze. Miriam Titcombe was reputedly a figure of some standing in the village and in the family it was believed she had held the position of village constable for which the truncheon was provided.
