Frank Rudler (1923-1986), son of Alfred and Dorothy Rudler of Hook, Lydiard Tregoze.
Frank attended Hook School, later serving in Reconnaissance during World War II. After the war he married Diana Gray and began his career as a trainee accountant in the local building firm Bradley and Sons where the couple had met. Here he worked his way up to become Company Secretary of the entire Bradley Group.
In 1958 Frank had Will Gaze Cottage built in Hook, the year the couple's first child, Elizabeth, was born.
The Rudler family have been associated with Lydiard Tregoze since the 17th Century. Their graves can be found in the churchyard of St. Mary's. Frank was a Church Warden at Tregoze and very much a part of the local community.
