Altogether 75 acres were to come under the hammer on 29th July 1943 in the Corn Hall at the cattle market in Old Town, Swindon. The auction was organised by Fielder & Jones on behalf of the executors of the late Viscountess Bolingbroke.
The prospectus includes a description of all the property for sale including timber not already purchased by The Ministry of Supplies.
A large coloured plan is included which defines the various plots of land.
