Photograph of Alfa Romeo car on Lydiard Park drive, 1977

We don't have many photographs of cars in The Lydiard Archives, but this one of Frank Rudler's prized Alfa Romeo on the drive leading up to St. Mary's Church Lydiard Tregoze, is a worthy exception.

The photograph was taken around 1977 before the avenue of Elm trees succumbed to Dutch Elm disease and had to be felled.
