Photograph of pupils taken outside the schoolhouse on Hook Street. Children from Greatfield, Greenhill and Hook attended the school.

Headmaster, Mr. Leighton, can be seen at the back of the picture. A fierce disciplinarian he was known as "Gaffer" by the children and chewed tobacco.
