A plan of the 302nd Station Hospital (Lydiard Park) which served the 101st Airborne Division of the US Airforce. Opened in 1943 in anticipation of D Day casualties the camp was later converted into a German POW hospital overseen by British military personnel.

The plan dates from the camp's use as a POW hospital and shows the perimeter fencing and guard towers. It includes a detailed schedule of the all the buildings and their uses including the wards, a dental centre, operation block, mental ward, chapel and a shoemaker, tailor and barbers hut. A large number of tents are also identified; these provided sleeping quarters for the British personnel.
