Miniature ornamental clasp case containing a tablet of (possibly) dressmaking chalk. The tablet is marked Ginets "Zephyr". The decorative case has a ring link, suggesting it was worn on a chain.

More research is required to identify the object though it is likely it belonged to Lady Bolingbroke (d.1940).

The item is part of a collection of mostly WWI military badges that belonged to Vernon St.John, 6th Viscount Bolingbroke (d.1974), which he kept throughout his life. The collection was generously donated to The Friends of Lydiard Park by a a former friend, Anne Barr, in 2023.
