Four plaster busts sit within broken pediments on top of the bookcases which line the walls of the Library, part of the 18th century decorative scheme. The busts represent ancient and modern scholars, a suitable choice for a Library, denoting serious study, intellect and contemplation.

Art UK identifies one as being of Homer and another as Sir Isaac Newton.

The adjacent Hall also contains a series of plaster busts together with decorative urns and plaster reliefs.
